Just like that, *check*, another bucket list wedding done! I've been dying to shoot a vegan wedding and thanks to Jackie Willome Photography I finally had the chance! I'm a strict vegetarian, I'm about 90% vegan, and I'm so used to bringing my own food to weddings, or not eating for 8 to 10 hour straight, because lets be honest - most San Antonio weddings aren't vegetarian or vegan! Jackie asked me if I wanted to shoot this wedding of hers with her and how on earth could I say no?! And no, I didn't just go for the food! I love being able to work surrounded by beautiful souls and amazing decor.
Besides the mind-blowing idea that I could eat everything at dinner (their cupcakes were literally, yes literally, the best I have ever had in my life. I had 3 of them) this was one of the most amazing weddings I've ever photographed. Aaron wore antique cuff links, and Jamie's dress was over 100 years old! Taylor's jacket was the most beautiful burgundy velvet, matched Jamie's shoes perfectly.
The weather was threatening us on and off with rain though the morning but we made it through an outdoor ceremony with no issues! When we made our way down to the river to do portraits the mist in the air was so perfect and made for a gorgeous background. I would have loved to spend all night at this wedding, just capturing the little moments between couples on the dance floor, old friends chatting, kids stealing more desserts than their parents would typically approve of.
Their entire wedding was so beautiful, so them, and at the same time quite unique. The gorgeous decor in the reception area had me jaw dropping every time I turned around. These are the kind of weddings that make me sooooo happy I'm a wedding photographer!
