Besides wedding rings, I have a very big soft spot when it comes to animals. I have three adopted / rescued dogs myself and I'm so grateful to all the local shelters for everything they do. Today I spent a few hours with the dogs and humans of A Doggie 4 You in Pipe Creek, Texas and managed to leave without adopted every single dog. I have a strict no-more-pets rule but we'll see how long it is until I change that rule.
Some of the dogs were having fun in the mud, others were just excited to see a new face. All of these sweet creatures need homes, so if there is anyone you know looking for a new fur baby share this post with them!
A Doggie 4 You has over 150 dogs, and they might just have your new best friend! While we didn't have time to photograph every dog, we did get to quite a few. These sweethearts were all so loving! Visit their Facebook page for more information on adopting your next family member!
So while the doggies were the reason I was there, I couldn't help but notice the cute cows and gorgeous landscape as well! Oh, Texas. When I first moved to San Antonio 5 years ago or so (from Michigan) I was obsessed with photographing the landscape as it changed with the seasons. So many different plants than what I was used to.
It's been a while since I photographed the beautiful landscapes of Texas - I might just have to get back into that habit!
