Ailynn and Daniel's wedding was a dream come true for this San Antonio wedding photographer. Not only were they so welcoming and sweet, but their ceremony and reception venues were to die for! They had a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, one of my favorite churches to shoot in. If you scroll down and find yourself in love with these high, teal ceilings, make sure you check out Dulce and Ricardo's wedding, also at the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
The wedding ceremony was touching, as the love these two and their families have for each other was very clear, but there were also light-hearted moments, such as during the vows, when Daniel couldn't resist making everyone laugh by unexpectedly switching to Spanish partway through. After the ceremony, we headed over to the reception at one of San Antonio's McNay Art Museum, a photographers dream. Both the grounds and the museum itself are gorgeous with so many different locations to shoot at. On top of that, I've been dying to photograph a wedding in an art museum, it is on my wedding bucket list. I absolutely love art, of all forms, both creating and viewing.
At the McNay Art Museum we did some really fun bridal party and romantic bride/groom portraits on the lawn as the museum was closing. I was peeking inside the reception hall as soon as I was allowed to and my jaw just dropped. Ailynn's vision had completely come to life. Everything was perfect! The evening continued with cake cutting, toasts, and formal dances before the dance floor opened up for the rest of the guests. Ailynn and Daniel's family and friends know how to party, and the dance floor wasn't empty until the end of the night. Congratulations, Ailynn and Daniel, it was so much fun to photograph your wedding!
