I was really excited for Meghan and Daryl's wedding. Besides the fact that they got married at the gorgeous Boulder Springs Event Center (one my San Antonio wedding photographer friends, Karissa, was married there this year too!), I had rented a new lens for their wedding and was so stoked to test it out. I typically don't nerd out about equipment like some photographers do, but I was really excited for this particular lens and had high hopes. Sure enough, the lens lived up to the hype and I bit the bullet and made the investment shortly after shooting their wedding. It's hands down my favorite lens to shoot portraits and details with.
Okay. Back to Meghan and Daryl. So this gorgeous couple promised me they were both quiet and didn't anticipate expressing very much emotion, they're both pretty serious people, but somehow weddings tend to make even the most serious people emotional! Their first look was so intimate, and while Daryl didn't cry it was clear how in love with Meghan he was. The weather was playing games with us and we weren't sure if we were going to have to move the ceremony inside as it kept raining but finally, we were able to continue outside. I'm so glad because the ceremony venue is so cute, and at my last wedding here it was pouring so we had to move inside. The good thing about being a San Antonio wedding photographer is how rarely it rains down here!
After a quick, touching ceremony, during which the ring bearer ran back up the aisle to say hi to me, we moved inside to get the party started! A delicious dinner at beautifully decorated tables was followed by lots, and lots, and lots of dancing. It seemed like the dance floor was never empty! Everything about this wedding was perfect, and even though the venue is in the hill country, it's only a short drive away from San Antonio. Wedding photography is my passion, my obsession, and I'm so thankful I was able to spend Meghan and Daryl's wedding day capturing their love!
Meghan and Daryl's wedding was only possible through many helping hands. San Antonio wedding vendors that were involved include Action Catering, Toast Entertainment (okay they're from Austin, but close enough), Evan Coxwell of The Green Room Floral, and Destiny Bridal.
While you're here check out our other weddings at this venue!
